Labor Day weekend in Washington is about to get a lot more luxurious. DC Black Yacht Fest returns September 5 through 7 for a multi-day celebration of Black culture, luxury, music, and connection, set on the water and across the city. For anyone who has watched the Potomac fill with open decks and skyline views over the last few summers, this is the one the calendar has been waiting on.
Billed as Washington's premier luxury yacht and lifestyle experience, the festival is far more than a boat party. Across the weekend, guests move through a curated run of experiences, signature yacht cruises on the Potomac, upscale day parties, elevated brunches, exclusive nightlife, dining, networking, fashion, and cultural moments spread throughout the city. Every piece is designed with intention, premium hospitality, and the kind of energy organizers say turns a weekend into a tradition.
The heartbeat of it all is the water. The signature yacht experience sends a private fleet out onto the Potomac beneath the monuments, open decks and city skyline in every direction, for what has become the reason people come back year after year. It is DC seen the way it is meant to be seen in late summer, from the deck of a boat surrounded by a crowd that knows how to celebrate.
The why behind it is just as intentional as the programming. DC Black Yacht Fest was born from a simple belief, that Black professionals deserve summer experiences that match their ambition, taste, and energy. Organizer Brandon McCray describes it as an elevated space where Black culture, luxury, community, and opportunity come together, and what started as an idea to bring the community together on the water has grown into a full weekend of curated experiences that pulls in professionals, entrepreneurs, creatives, and tastemakers from around the country and beyond.

This year the celebration lands on Labor Day weekend and spreads across multiple locations throughout DC from September 5 to 7. It is positioned less like a single event and more like a destination weekend, the kind of thing people build a trip around, book a group for, and plan their outfits weeks ahead.
Tickets and the full lineup are available now at DCBlackYachtFest.com, with updates rolling out on Instagram at @dcblackyachtfest. If your Labor Day plans are still open, DC's premier Black yacht weekend just made the decision easy.
